Drop-in youth programming is offered at the Sara Holbrook Teen Center Site (130 Gosse Court). We provide a space for teens to be teens. Pool tables, foosball, basketball, soccer, ping-pong, art activities, board games and so much more are all available and supervised by a supportive staff. Occasionally, community outings are planned, such as swimming at the YMCA, a visit to the Flynn Center for Performing Arts, or a night at the movies. Dance parties are held from time to time to provide a safe, social activity.
In addition to regular drop-in activities, staff offer special themed nights for participants. Middle School Mondays offers a special activity for middle school-aged youth. In the past, special activities have included tie dying, a picnic at Oakledge Park or Waterfront Park, painting, and more. On Tuesday and Wednesday nights, the gym is open for the high schoolers who want to play a sport. The gym is usually divided into halves, one for basketball and one for soccer. If you’re a high school-aged student looking to find some good competitive games, these are the nights for you!
